At the other end of this valley (in my back), Kaunertal in Austria, there is a nice glacier ski region for snowboarders. I have an english post about a stay there., but also a german one.

Storm came up as we took the peak. The view was fine, full of mountains and clouds. We had two hours more to go ...

The same ascent as this image. We passed some snow traps looking like snow dunes.

This picture is very fresh, maybe five hours ago. We made a ski tour to a 2000 meter peak called Gehrenspitze (Vorarlberg, Austria). It's pretty much in the morning, and the shadow of the surrounding mountains is still dominating.
